Afterimage is a view of life as it comes to an end. The experience of watching a loved one age is reflected in the digital images of a home in disrepair. The multiplying windows, stretching or disappearing walls, and vanishing floors echo the changing mind and body of an aging loved one. The memory-like atmosphere of the lithographs inspire a nostalgic feeling, but the warped, unreal spaces imply that this memory is old and damaged. As the original image slips away into memory, the reality is also irreversibly distorted by time.
